The basics of making meatballs are pretty simple, you need about a pound of meat, an egg, some spices, and that’s it! It’s not complicated, but what you spice it with will makes all the difference. Start with mixing in a bowel the ground meat and an egg, then add the spices (see recipe), and mix together.

Next, you’ll want to hand-form the meat mixture into balls (remember to olive oil your hands before rolling). Simply grab handfuls of meat and roll them in your hands into a ball shape (These can be weighted or eyeballed). Place them on a baking sheet and pop in the oven at 350 degrees for 30 mins. Pull the meatballs out of the oven once they are done and immediately place thinly sliced mozzarella slices on top. Allow the mozzarella to melt onto the meatballs, creating a gooey sauce!

- 1 lb Ground Beef
- 1 Egg
- 1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese
- 1 tbsp Garlic fresh chopped
- 1 tbsp Parsley fresh chopped
- 1 tbsp Oregano fresh or dried
- 1 tbsp Olive OIl
- Salt & Pepper
- 15 Slices Mozzarella Medium Slices

- Preheat oven to 350 Degrees
- Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix.
- Grab Handfuls of the mixture and hand-form them into ball shapes. Tip: Cover hands with Olive Oil, to prevent mixture sticking to your hands.
- Place meatballs on a baking sheet and place in oven at 350 Degrees for 30 mins. We recommend rolling them halfway through to ensure an even cook.
- Once done, pull them out and place thin slices of mozzarella on top to let them melt over the meatballs. If they are thicker slices feel free to put the meatballs back in the oven for 1 minute to let the slices melt.
- Serve on its own, with a side of vegetables or salad. These also go great with zuchinni spirals and a bit of pesto.
